Holding the buckets for a good cause

As recognition of the outstanding support Bankside has given to the homeless and disadvantaged of Leeds in supporting the work of St Aidan’s and St George’s Crypt, we were invited to supply collectors for a special lunchtime Christmas concert by the Boys of Durham Cathedral Choir – Azizah, Razna, Samina and Usman from Bankside ChoirCapture 3 did an outstanding job giving out programmes and holding buckets during the retiring collection, and managed to collect nearly £1500, as well as showing off Bankside smiles, friendliness and politeness to a large audience.

The end of the Christmas season!

This afternoon the Year 5s and 6s (plus a few Year 4s) paid their annual visit to Gledhow Lodge, where as always we were received with the utmost kindness and hospitality.  It’s been another busy Christmas for the choir, but Gledhow is one of our favourite venues, and it was a lovely way to finish our efforts in 2014.  Razna took the photographs, and there is a selection below for you to enjoy.
